Kimberly Lowe Reappointed to Commission on Uniform State Laws

Avisen Legal is proud to announce that firm co-founder Kimberly Lowe has been reappointed to the Minnesota Commission on Uniform State Laws. Her appointment was announced jointly by Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Chief Justice Natalie Hudson alongside the reappointment of House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and the new appointment of Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge Peter Reyes, Jr.

Lowe’s new term begins June 1, 2025, and will run through May 31, 2027.

The Commission on Uniform State Laws studies and recommends uniform legislation on topics requiring consistent treatment across jurisdictions. Commissioners represent Minnesota at the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, where they help shape legal standards adopted by states nationwide.

Kimberly Lowe has served as a Uniform Law Commissioner since 2016, contributing to numerous study and drafting committees and holding leadership roles within the Uniform Law Commission. At Avisen Legal, she represents nonprofit and for-profit clients across diverse industries, including energy, manufacturing, and technology. She is widely recognized for her work in corporate, governance, and organizational matters, and has long been active in bar association leadership at the local, state, and national levels.
